James John (Schmeiser) "Kid" Raider, 49, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The son of Doris (Moss) Tietjen and the late Richard Schmeiser was born on November 3, 1965 in New Jersey. On May 10, 1997 he married the former Amy Berndt at Plymouth Congregational Church in Oshkosh, WI. Jim was an avid Packer fan, who also enjoyed traveling. His passion was music, programming and as a morning on-air personality at a local Christian radio station for the last 21 years. Those who listened to "Kid" Raider will fondly remember him for his quick wit and sense of humor. Jim is survived by his wife, Amy; his son, John; mother, Doris Tietjen; siblings, Eileen (Steve) Spainhoward, Mike (Maureen) Schwartz, Tom (Margaret) Raider, Fred Schwartz, JoAnn (Raymond) Ward, Bill Newton, Theresa Schwartz Ogden; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; sibling, Mark Andrew Schmeiser; uncle, Raymond Schmeiser; aunt, Joan Kreie. Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, WI on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, WI on Monday, April 13, 2015 beginning at 9:00am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am.
