He is survived by his children; James Stenson and Grace Stenson. Jim is also survived by his siblings; Rene Oram Oshkosh, Debra (Troy) Easterson Appleton, Daniel (Natalie) Stenson Oshkosh, Rita (John) Sussenberger New Hampshire, Jacqueline (David) Stephenson Indiana, Dawn (Brian) Houle Winneconne, Martin (Debbie) Stenson Fond du Lac, Lisa Munoz Oshkosh, Joanne (David) Baer (Neenah), Eric (Hether) Stenson Oshkosh, and Matthew (Wendy) Stenson Oshkosh, as well as 42 nieces and nephews. Jim was a beautiful cherub baby born with blonde curls, piercing blue eyes, and rosy cheeks. Jim was one of the final 100 babies to be the Gerber Baby of 1970-1971. He touched so many lives with his contagious laughter and ability to listen without judgment. He was known for his incredibly big heart, sense of humor, and love of our Lord. He had a deep connection to his nieces and nephews who have fond memories of walks to the gas station to choose bug juice and/or candy.
Jim was happiest when he was with his children. He had a strong love for our Lord and Blessed Mother and prayed his rosary daily. He always kept his faith and worked tirelessly to pass this on to his children.
The Requiem High Mass for Jimmy will be on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Chapel, 1782 Chappelle Rue, De Pere, with Fr. A. Dwyer SSPX officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. in the basement of the chapel until the time of Mass.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Aurora Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care. A special thank you to Fr. Dwyer for his guidance, delivery of sacraments, and many prayers for Jim. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Holy Angels Novitiate, 21077 Quarry Hill Road, Winona, MN.
