James David Trudell, 43, De Pere, passed away on December 28, 2019 unexpectedly as the result of an accident. James was born in Green Bay on October 22, 1976, the son of Gary and Kathleen (Milan) Trudell. He was a 1995 graduate of Ashwaubenon High School. On September 30, 2000 he was united in marriage to Brenda (Bero) Trudell at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.
Together they raised two wonderful children; Savannah Alexis (16) and Dalton James (15). From the day James and Brenda met in 1995, they knew that their hearts would become one. They created an amazing life together. Love for his wife and children was evident. From dance recitals to hockey games, James was always in the stands to support his children. He was the example of commitment and hard work, setting the foundation of those values in his children. He put his heart and soul into everything he did, especially his own lawncare business, FreshCut Lawncare.
James had an entrepreneurial spirit, taking over FreshCut and growing it with his vision. He was also involved in other investments with his family including apartment management, operating an Air B&B and maintaining a family-owned laundromat; he loved to stay busy. After long nights plowing snow, he would often swing by a family members house and clear their driveway without being asked. James was the ultimate fix-it man who could be called on at any time for advice.
When he wasn't working or helping others, James enjoyed spending any available time with family and friends. Whether hunting, going on vacation, spending time up-north, camping or cheering for the Packers, he was bringing life to the group and never turned down a cold drink.
James is survived by his wife Brenda, his children Savannah and Dalton; his parents Gary & Kathy Trudell; brothers, Andrew (Angela) Trudell and Keith (Misti) Trudell and his Grandmother Ruth Trudell. He is further survived by Brenda's family, Carrie (Rusty) Johnson, Kelly (Jim) Vander Linden and Tracy (Chris) Elliott. He was a loving Uncle to Kailyn, Aubrey, Leighton, Asher, Evie, Alyssa, Miranda, Mason, Connor, Kaitlyn, Evan, Lauren, Megan, Carson, Aiden and Owen. He is also survived by numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by his Grandparents, James and June Milan, Dave Trudell, his mother and father-in-law Charles and Carolyn Bero and his cousin, Troy Milan.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N 10th Street, De Pere. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM.
The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to De Pere Fire Rescue and St. Vincent sixth floor ICU staff for their wonderful care of James.
His legacy will live on through his selfless act of organ donation.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Savannah and Dalton's education.
