James F. Zetting (Franklin). Appleton, age 87 passed peacefully into God's eternal kingdom on December 6, 2020 at his home. He was born in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph Zetting and Jane Hageman on May 6, 1933. Franklin was joined in marriage on May 9, 1959 to Joyce Prassel at St. Sebastian Church in Milwaukee, WI.
Franklin proudly served his country in the Army during the time of the Korean War as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He spent much of his career working for the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. He was lovingly remembered by his Donald Duck imitation, which delighted young and old alike. Franklin was a lifelong supporter of the blood bank with his donation of blood; a gift that brought life. One of Franklin's greatest joys was singing. He loved singing in the church choir and preforming in community concerts. His voice will continue to resonate in our hearts.
Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by family and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce, beloved children, Kerry (David) Gross, Christopher (Jacquie) Zetting, Wendy (Steve) Holloway, Brian Zetting and Scott (Jillian) Zetting. Cherished Grandpa of Jordan (Laurie) Gross, Kelsey (Mark) Siegel, Parker (Carolyn) Gross, Connor Gross, Rebecca and Sydney Zetting, Chad, and Cody Zetting; Great Grandpa Duck to Addison and Roman Gross, Cole, Theo, and Jude Siegel.
Franklin's family wishes to thank Dr. Kristine Juntunen and her care team for their support and compassion.
