Jane M. Albers, 92, passed away on Monday morning May 22, 2017. She was born in Peshtigo, WI on June 13, 1924 to the late John and Constance (Nesberg) Pearce and grew up in the area. After High School graduation she went to Milwaukee Lutheran School of Nursing and became a R.N. On June 19, 1948 she married John Albers and together they started the first nursing home in Waukesha. Later they moved to Oconto where they owned and operated two nursing homes. Jane loved her nursing career. She served on the board at NWTC to help start the nursing program. After retiring from Riverside Nursing Home she went on to help Oconto Hospital, and for many years was a hospice volunteer. Jane was an active church member throughout her life and lived for her family and helping others. Through the years she enjoyed winters in Florida and time at the family cottage on Shay Lake. Jane will be deeply missed by her children; Stephen (Jeannine) Albers, Karen (Richard) Braun, and Allen (Cassie) Albers, her grandchildren; Erin (Sean) Floeter, Amy (Andy) Nelson, Jodi (Jeremy) Fiser, Megan (Danny) Hintz, Ashley Wilz, John (fiancé Jenny) Albers, Matthew Albers, and her Great grandchildren; John Nelson, William Fiser, Callie Wilz, and her sister Lois (Jerry) Minzlaff, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John Albers, her granddaughter Jennifer Albers, two brothers Bob and Jack Pearce, and two sisters in law Audrie Kreyer and Shirley Pearce. You were the best Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. You also made the best chocolate chip cookies and meatballs. You put others first and were so caring and self-giving. You will always live on in our hearts. We love you! Friends may call at 4:00PM Friday May 26, 2017 at First United Presbyterian Church, 605 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, until time of service at 6:00PM with Rev. Luke Farwell Officiating. Burial will take place in the Mountain Cemetery at 12:00PM Saturday May 27, 2017 with Rev.
