IN LOVING MEMORY OF JANE WORM LINZ

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Jane Heather Worm Linz, De Pere, Wisconsin. Jane passed away peacefully in her home on September 29th, 2025, at the age of 73, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend whose infectious sense of humor and generosity touched everyone she met.

Jane was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, one of the nine children of Dr. George and Ruth Worm. She was a graduate of Divine Savior High School and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, earning a degree in recreational leadership. Jane dedicated the early part of her adult life to raising her two sons, Nick and Tim. She also donated her time as a classroom, health room, and library volunteer in the schools that her sons attended. After her sons were grown, Jane put her education and experience to work as a pre-school teacher with Encompass Early Child Education & Care and the Head Start program, where she earned praise and recognition for her leadership and for her dedication to the children she taught.

Jane enjoyed spending time with her sisters and the extended Worm family in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The family cottage was a constant source of joy and pride throughout Jane's life. She loved watching her children and grandchildren enjoy the cottage and the lake as much as she and her siblings did in their childhood. Jane also enjoyed going for walks, feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard, visiting Our Lady of Lourdes for prayer and reflection, and playing with any and every dog that she came across. Jane's greatest sources of joy and pride, however, were her children and grandchildren. There was nothing she would not do for us. She was a constant source of entertainment, support and love. Her laughter, stories, activities, songs and catch-phrases are forever memories engrained in our minds and hearts.

Jane is survived by her beloved sons, Nick Linz (Carrie) and Tim Linz (Lisa), her grandchildren, Addison, Hailey, Austin and Leighton, and her siblings: John Worm (Judy), Susie Roth (Randy), Mary Donovan (Jim), Cathy Ehlen (Dan), and Tom Worm, each of whom shared a special bond with Jane. She is greeted in heaven by her loving parents, George and Ruth Worm, and siblings: Jackie Worm, Jimmy Worm, and Julie Steffen. Jane's fiery spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love and support for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held for Jane at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 94 N. Lincoln St. Elkhart Lake, WI 53020, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. The family will receive those wishing to pay their respects from 11:30 until the time of the service. A luncheon and celebration of Jane's life will follow at Siebken's Resort. As we gather to honor Jane's memory, we celebrate a life lived with humor, compassion, and joy. Her legacy endures in the hearts of her family, friends, former students, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Although no longer with us in person, Jane's spirit and memory will always be a cherished part of our lives. May she rest in peace.
