Jane E. Dassow-Oakley (70) of Green Bay and formerly of Sheboygan, passed with peace and grace on Sunday, January 21st. She was in the company and hearts of family and friends who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly. Jane is survived by two daughters, Roxanne (Chris) Knight of DePere, Jenny Oakley of Suamico, two grandsons, Cameron Knight, and Lance Matuszak, sister Verna (Walter) Schelk, of Wausaukee, brother Delano (Shirley) Dassow of Sheboygan Falls; Step-Sisters Betty (Rod) Deckert & Rosemary Hickmann of Sheboygan; and Step-Brothers Allen (Donna) Krizenesky of Peshtigo and John (Marilyn) Krizenesky of Elkhart Lake. Jane was born on January 19th 1948 and grew up on a family farm in Kohler, WI. Her parents owned and operated the Blue Moon Tavern in Erdman, WI. The family could hear the dance music from above, which contributed to her love of music and dancing. Jane graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1966 and attended Lakeshore Technical College. Her 40-year career was with the State of Wisconsin, unemployment division, assisting people find jobs. Hobbies included spoiling her grandsons, doing activities, and attending their school/sports events. You could count on Grandma/Nana to bring a huge bag of treats every time, she evoked "grandma privilege". In Jane's retirement, she also enjoyed treasure hunting for the biggest bargains, and mapping out rummage sales with her best friend, Joan Leaman. In addition to her parents Henry C. and Violet (Clevers) Dassow, Step-Mother Elsie Krizenesky Dassow, she was proceeded in death by an infant daughter, her Sister Sharon (Dassow) Bartzen, her Brother-in-Law Arthur G. Bartzen, her Brother Lamont Dassow, her Step-Brother Robert (Cynthia) Krizenesky and Nephews Kevin Bartzen and John Krizenesky. Funeral services to celebrate Jane's life will be held on Wednesday January 24th, 2018. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere WI after 4pm until the time of service at 7pm.
