Janice R. Cornelius, 63, Oneida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday February 1, 2017. She was born August 13, 1953 to Kenny Hill and the late Betty Schuyler Hill. On November 4, 1972 she married Orville Cornelius. Janice loved family gatherings to celebrate any occasion. She dedicated her life to education, especially to children with special needs. Her love of children was evident, and many came to know her as Grandma Janice. She is survived by her husband Orville, her children; O-Jay Cornelius, William Cornelius, Schuyler (Jon Ryerse) Cornelius, and Ken (April) Cornelius. Her 14 grandchildren; Camlynn, Conner, Margaret, Hudson, Josef, Mishun, William, Destiny, Zoe, Rebecca, Alena, John, Leander, and Lukas. Janice is further survived by her father Kenny, Hill, her siblings; Lyle Hill, Laurie Hill, Celene (Clayton) Elm, and Lisa Hill. Her mother in law Dellora (DODO) Cornelius, and Orville's siblings; Larry (Joy) Cornelius, Gary (Ceal) Cornelius, Randy (Kathe) Cornelius, Doreen (Frank) Perrote, Vickie Cornelius, Vange Cornelius, Laura Cornelius, Annette Cornelius, Sylvia Cornelius, as well as many nieces and nephews all survive her. She was preceded in death by her mother Delores and father in law Orville Cornelius Sr. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere from 4-8pm Saturday. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 7:30pm. A traditional family service will take place at 4155 Merrimac Way, Oneida staring at 11pm until 9:30am Sunday morning. A funeral procession will then take place to the Oneida Sacred Burial Grounds for a 10am burial. The Cornelius family would like to thank their friends, neighbors and the Firekeepers for their love and support. Also, thank you to the doctors and nurses at Bellin Hospital, Unity Hospice and Anna John Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Janice and the guidance given to the family.
