Jean Grove died December 25th, 2020 at her home in De Pere, Wisconsin, as a result of Covid 19 and underlying malignancy. Jean was born on August 1, 1941, to Robert and Hazel (Patterson) Finlay in Coshocton, Ohio. She graduated from Warsaw High School in Warsaw, Ohio and earned a BS degree in elementary education from Ohio State University. From 1963-65 she taught in the Gahanna, Ohio schools. She was a teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School in Brookings, South Dakota from 1980 until her retirement in 2001. On September 9, 1962, she married John A. Grove in Coshocton, Ohio. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Karla (Steven) Schmidt of De Pere, Wisconsin, her son, Alan (Elise) Grove of Rocklin, California, five grandsons, two brothers, Gerald (Judy) Finlay of Coshocton, Ohio and Edward (Carol) Finlay of Warsaw, Ohio, in addition to cousins, nieces and nephews. The body was cremated and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
