Jean M. Schumacher, 91, of De Pere, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 16, 2012 with her husband Clarence and daughter Donna at her side. She was born July 13, 1920 in Phlox, WI, a daughter of the late Anton and Edith (Goodwill) Schleinz. She married Clarence in January 1951 in Mosinee, WI. Jean was a devout wife and homemaker, and she treasured spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years Clarence; three daughters: Nancy Smith, Pat (Mike) Case, and Donna Hendricks; son Dan Schumacher; 26 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her son-in-law Bob Moss; daughter-in-law Jan Schumacher; sister-in-law Bernice Schleinz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Ann Moss and Eileen Weidner; son Edward Schumacher; sons-in-law Ed Smith and Glen Hendricks; brothers: Kenneth Schleinz, Jerry (Louise) Schleinz, Robert (Helen) Schleinz; and sister Marjorie (Bernard) Verhasselt.
Visitation for Jean will be Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at RYAN FUENRAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave and Suburban Dr, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
