Jeanne Marie (Golonka) Woitula, 68, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2008. Jeanne was born January 30, 1940 by the late Ben (Bernard) Golonka and Florence Louise (Borowski) Golonka in the town of Sobieski.
Jeanne moved to Green Bay at the age of 16, where she was a waitress at the Labor Temple in Green Bay. There she met her future husband and best friend Richard (Dick) Woitula. Jeanne and Dick were married February 9, 1959. They moved to Tempe Arizona for several years and then returned to Green Bay where they have resided since.
Jeanne was a loving mother. Her ability to make "home" a feeling in your heart and when you returned home it was always warm and comforting. Jeanne enjoyed cooking and baking to keep that comfort of home always there. Jeanne and Dick enjoyed taking their children camping to Buckatabon Lodge in Conover WI. Later Dick built a beautiful cabin in the town of Beaver at which Jeanne and Dick enjoyed feeding the birds and sometimes a bear or two would stop by to check out the birdseed too. Jeanne was also a big fan of Brett Farve and enjoyed watching him play.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Dick, and their four children, Roxanne Olson, her children Jordan, Dexter, Anthony "AJ" and their father Anthony Olson. Brenda (Tim) Parent, their children Timothy "TJ", Ashley, and Alana. Robert (Cyndi) Woitula, their children Tyler and Grayson. Dana Woitula and fianc Robert "Bob" Volm. Brother Kenneth (Shirley) Golonka, sisters Violet Amundson, and Barbara (Jerald) Kershek. Penny Tilkens, Jeanne's life long friend. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Florence and father Bernard Golonka. Godson Randall Golonka.
The Woitula family would like to thank nurses Ashley and Amanda of the 3rd floor at St. Mary's hospital for their caring and support during this difficult time.
Visitation at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere, WI will be held on Thursday December 18th from 5 7 PM . A Prayer Service will be held at 6PM. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
