Jeff Franklin, 44, of Appleton, died Wednesday May 18, 2016 at home. The son of Thomas E. and Kathleen M. (Halm) was born August 30, 1971 in Royal Oak, MI. He was a graduate of Appleton West High School where he was a member of the swim team. He graduated from UW Stevens Point. Jeff was a life-teacher and counselor at YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya. He was a dedicated volunteer at Y Camps for many years. Jeff was an avid skier and worked many years in Breckenridge, CO. He re-trained at WITC as a welder while living in Duluth. Jeff's greatest loves were his children and he was devoted to his boys. Jeff was loving, giving, selfless and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his two sons Henry, 6, and Thomas, 4, their mother, Katie, his parents, Thomas and Kathleen Franklin, his brother Steve (Linda) Franklin, and one sister, Jenny Franklin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday May 22, 2016. Memorial service of Remembrance will be held at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. A reception will be held after the service in the Marquette Room at Ryan Funeral Home.
