Jerrald K. Smith, 18, Seymour, passed away Saturday morning, April 18, 2009 due to an auto accident. He was born October 1, 1990 to Michael Smith and Susan Pickett. Jerrald loved to play horseshoes, hiking with family, playing basketball and football, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his son; Daysan, his fianc; Nicole Brunner, his father; Michael (Christine) Smith, his mother Susan (Brian) Pickett, as well as his siblings; Michael, Tera, Johnathan, Jaclyn, Megan, and his step siblings; Derek, Koy, and Frank, as well as his grandfather Abraham Stevens, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by relatives. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 305 N. Tenth Street from 4 7pm Monday (TODAY) with the Oneida Hymn Singers to sing at 6:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am Tuesday at the funeral home until time of service at 10am with Deacon Deborah Heckel of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church officiating.
