Obituary

Jerry E. Kussow, 77, Town of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

He was born February 12, 1946, son of the late Elmer and Elnora (Pagel) Kussow.

Jerry graduated from West De Pere High School, where he excelled at playing football for the Phantoms.

He served his country in the United States Air Force, stationed in Tripoli, Libya.

On October 21, 1972, he was united in marriage to Mary Vande Hey.

Jerry retired from Thilmany Paper after 49 years with the mill. He was an avid Packer and West De Pere Phantom fan. Jerry enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially when they gathered for a pool party at his home.

He is survived by his wife Mary, their children, Brad (Dawn) Kussow, and Molly (Jamie) Boylan. Grandchildren; Peter, Natalie, Elizabeth, and Sophia. His siblings, Virgil (Randean) Kussow, Lowell (Judy) Kussow, and his twin Judy Maus. Also surviving him are Inge Kussow, and Jackie Kussow, as well as Mary's family, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Merle (Joyce) Kussow, Russ Kussow, brother-in-law Glen Maus, and his in-laws Ervin and Gert Vande Hey.

Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd., De Pere from 2:00PM, Monday, January 15, 2024, until time of service at 5:00PM with Pastor Cindy Warmbier – Meyer officiating. Full military rites will follow the service. The burial will take place in Lawrence "Cady" Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
