Jess Brault, 59, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday evening, June 4, 2016. The son of James Brault and Marianne Hatten was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1957 in Germany.
He grew up in Green Bay and graduated from West High School in 1975. Upon graduating, he went to DeVry University in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
In 1978, Jess married Connie Hockers at Nativity Parish in Green Bay. They spent over thirty years together, and raised three sons. Jess was so proud of his three sons, Patrick, Andy and Jesse, and his legacy continues through them and his three grandchildren, Logan, Lucy and Charles.
Jess spent his career as an electrical engineer, a job that he loved. He spent his time outside of work fishing, hunting and working on projects at home, both remodeling and woodworking. He loved fishing on small lakes and in Canada, and boating in Door County, but his ultimate joy was teaching and mentoring his boys through extensive home remodeling projects.
His latest venture was developing an aquaponics system and building a greenhouse on a self-sustaining plot of land in Plover. He looked forward to more remodeling projects in the boys' new homes.
Jess is survived by his parents, James Brault and Marianne Hatten; sons, Patrick Brault, Florida, Andy (Tiffany) Brault, Horicon, and Jesse Brault, Plover. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Logan, Lucy and Charles; his sister, Tina (Kent) Small; wife of 33 years, Connie Smith, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and other extended family members.
Friends and family may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016. A short memorial service will close the evening at 7:00 PM.
