Joan "Joni" Reese. 75, Green Bay, an incredibly strong woman who pushed back against Alzheimer's, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday March 26, 2021. Joni was born August 4, 1945 to the late Richard and Josephine (Kohlmann) Reese. Joni had worked in the Dental field all her life. A strong woman with a passion for life, Joni loved people, and people loved her. An advocate for her family in regard to higher education, she was so very proud of her grandkids and their achievements. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening, decorating the outside of her home for all to enjoy, walking, and biking the Fox River Trail, and participating in the Bellin Run/Walk. Joni found excitement in watching the Packer flyovers and loved her sweet cats, Violet and Precious. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Allen) Hanson, three grandchildren: Elizabeth (John) Zaretski, Jennie Hanson, James Hanson, her siblings: Thomas Reese, Judy Reese, David Reese, and sister-in-law Cheryl Reese as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joni was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steve, two brothers: Roger Reese, Jerry Reese, and sister-in-law Betty Reese. Friends and family may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, 1307 Lourdes Ave, De Pere Tuesday April 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00AM. Mass will start at 11:00 AM with Frt. Peter Ambting O.Praem. officiating. Burial to follow mass at 12:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family with arrangements.
