Joanne Kent, 85, of De Pere, passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2013 at home. The daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel (Roloff) Held was born March 31, 1928 in Wausau. On April 17, 1948, she married Earl Kent Jr. in Wausau. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2001. Joanne had been an active member of First Universalist Church in Wausau for many years. She loved music and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Jeff) Kent-Stanke, Virginia Beach, VA, Candice (Francis) Plaza, Allouez, Earl "Skip" (Marca) Kent III, Maysville, KY, Mary (Mark) Olsen, De Pere, Jonathon (Kay) Kent, De Pere, Christopher (Stacey) Kent, Shawano. A special Gamma to seventeen grandchildren, Timothy and Daniel Krieg, Katherine Woolley, Elizabeth Pischke, Amanda Johnson, Seth and Ben Plaza, Ethan and Molly Kent, Meghan Smith, Adam, Todd, and Cassandra Olsen, Allisun, Nick, and Kelly Kent, and Angela Warwick, twenty four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Alice Kuehl, Appleton, and one brother-in-law, Russell Kent, Columbus, WI. Aunt Janny also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Elizabeth Olsen, as well as her mother and father-in-law.
