Joanne Smith, 83, passed away on June 24, 2024 in De Pere, WI. She was born on September 12, 1940 to the late Anton and Anna (Slotnick) Hren in Milwaukee, WI. She married Emil Smith on August 19, 1961.

Her children and grandchildren were the most important things in her life. She would do anything and everything for her grandchildren. She loved tending to her flower beds and gardening, as well as shopping sprees. Joanne also adored her shih-tzu McKee.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Emil Smith, her children, Edward (Lisa) Smith, James (Brenda) Smith, Annamarie (Guy) Bartel, and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Eddy, Xavier, Shelby, Justin, and Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Bielefeld, and her brother Anton Hren.

Private services were held for Joanne.
