Jodie Schindler, age 64, passed away on August 24, 2025.

She was born on April 17, 1961, in Milwaukee, and throughout her 64 years she lived with resilience, humor, and a deep love for her family. Despite facing many physical health challenges, Jodie met each day with strength and determination, showing her loved ones the importance of perseverance and courage.

Jodie was a devoted mother of three children and a proud grandmother. Her children and grandchildren cherished and adored her, spending countless hours making memories, talking, playing games, and sharing laughter. She loved watching her grandkids play soccer and other sports, and she poured her heart into every moment with them. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and her children and grandchildren always felt her love and care. Jodie's family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her son Matthew and her parents, Roger and Shirley Zeutzius, in eternal peace.

She is survived by her children, Jamie (Kevin) McMullen and Ryan (Hope) Schindler; and her beloved grandchildren Bruce, Miles, Theodore, Eleanor, and Oliver McMullen, and Carsyn and Benjamin Schindler.

She is also survived by her siblings, Sheri (Chris) Anderson, Bonnie "Beeg" Mashl, Dawn Natzke, and Daryl (Jessica) Zeutzius. Jodie especially cherished the time spent with her siblings at Sheri's cottage, where they shared countless laughs and created lifelong memories together.

Her nieces and nephews include Jeremy (Christina), Jessie (Matt), Phil (Mallory), Brett (Emma), Jake (Jamie), Brittany, Breanna, Keisha, and Zach, along with many great-nieces and nephews who brought her joy and whom she loved very much.

Before retiring, Jodie ran her own daycare while her children were young, forming many lifelong friendships between the children she cared for and her own family. She will also be remembered for her sentimental heart, her wit, and her determination. Jodie was never truly alone — she found community wherever she went. She loved to talk and laugh with friends, family, neighbors, or anyone willing to listen. She had a special way of making people feel seen and valued, and her presence brought warmth to every room.

A private service will be planned at a later date. Jodie will be laid to rest at Fort Howard Memorial Park on Velp Avenue in Green Bay.

Jodie lived with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) for over 30 years. She always advocated for finding a cure for T1D, a cause that was deeply personal not only because of her own journey, but also because of her grandson Miles, who shares the same condition. Though her passing leaves an empty space in the lives of those who knew her, Jodie's love, laughter, and spirit will carry on through her children, her grandchildren, her siblings, and the countless family members and friends who were blessed to know her.
