Johanna W. Gossen, age 99, passed away on September 14, 2021. Born January 5, 1922 to John and Hattie (Vanden Heuvel) Gossen in the town of Lawrence. When she was a year old, they moved to the farm in the town of Hobart, where she lived the rest of her life. Johanna was a faithful member of St. Boniface Church and, later, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. When her brother passed away, she helped her dad on the farm. Later, she worked at Green Bay Food and Green Bay Clothing for many years. She loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening, reading, playing cards, putting puzzles together, and occasional trips to casinos with her family. Johanna is survived by her brother, Donald Gossen, De Pere; sister-in-law, Carol Gossen, Wrightstown; Godchildren, Mike Huelsbeck, Tom Evers, and Mary Kohn; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, Bernard, Harvey, Robert, Clarence, and Orville; sisters, Edna Huelsbeck and Marion Evers; sister-in-law, Ione Gossen and Diane Gossen; brothers-in-law, James Huelsbeck and Joseph Evers; and two nephews, David Evers and David Gossen. Friends and family are invited to Our Lady of Lourdes, 1305 Lourdes Ave, De Pere for a visitation Saturday, September 18 from 9-10:30 AM with funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary.
