John Bahringer 70, Sobieski, passed away peacefully Saturday May 5th, with his loving family by his side. John was born on August 28th, 1947 in Milwaukee to George and Mildred Bahringer. He attended Messmer High School. After graduation he received his Sheet Metal Journeyman's Certification. John moved to Green Bay in 1977 where he worked for Sun Electric, and later at Hayssen Manufacturing which then became Paper Converting Machine.
John married the love of his life and best friend, Betty, in May 1992. Together they shared a love that was all consuming. They enjoyed many fun times playing golf, cribbage, and going out to eat with friends. John & Betty could summarize their marriage and time together as "Sitting next to you doing absolutely nothing means absolutely everything to me" John was a people person and loved entertaining his friends with his quick wit and amazing skill at telling a joke. He loved making people laugh. John was a loving, devoted husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his wife and family.
John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty, two daughters, Julie Arndt, and Jodie (Luke) Sigl. Three grandchildren, Riley Arndt, Conor, and Kayden Sigl. John is also survived by a sister, Susan (Paul) Lynch, and a brother, Robert (Mae Anne) Bahringer. John is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as many great friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents and step mother, mother-in-law, a brother Tom and niece Megan.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 11th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Benedict Catholic Church, Suamico. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere is assisting the family.
