Obituary

Brian Dachelet, 56, of Green Bay, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his family home in Riverview, FL on November 5, 2020. He was born in Texarkana, TX to the late John B Dachelet, Jr and Sandra R (Willems) Dachelet. Brian grew up throughout the US and Europe (Germany, Greece, Italy) with his military family and attended multiple schools. He graduated from ACS (American Community School) in Athens, Greece in 1983. Brian was a sports authority and an avid 49ers/Cubs/Badgers fan. If asked, he would also say an Aaron Rodgers/Packers fan. Brian enjoyed working out at the Y, swimming in his FL pool, movies, time spent with lifelong friends, and time with his nieces and grandnieces spoiling them with M&Ms. He also enjoyed his role as greeter at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Riverview, FL. Brian was a man of routine and those fortunate enough to be close to him were guaranteed a Friday night phone call. Nothing gave him more joy than those calls to 'the wife' Debbie Henry, Aunt Sue Potter in Boise, Buddy & Gaye Elam to talk 'Bears Trash', Florida neighbor Darren Balch, Cousin Sara Willems to set up Friday night dinner plans, his '2nd Mom' Maria (Sands) Vail, and so many others. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Bradley Dachelet; nieces Kayla (Jesse) Gignac and Kristin Dachelet; grandnieces, Brielle and Vienna Gignac, many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved cat Maggie. A private funeral service will be held December 22nd at 11am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Green Bay, WI, presided over by Deacon Jeff Prickette. The mass will be live streamed and can be viewed via Facebook at @popgb54311 A celebration of Brian's life will take place in Green Bay at a later date. A Tampa FL celebration will also take place at a future date when he is laid to rest at Bushnell National Cemetery alongside his parents. The family would like to thank all of those who shared in Brian's life and made memories with him. He lives on in all who knew and loved him. "To have known Brian, is to have loved Brian." --Forever loving little brother, Brad In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made in Brian's honor to a charity of choice.
