John O. Hoff, 60, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. He was born August 20, 1948 to the late Jerold and Juliette (Olson) Hoff in La Crosse, WI. He married Karen Sorenson September 16, 1967. John was employed at Stephensen Marketing Cooperative as a dairy nutritionist. He truly enjoyed playing the harmonica, spending time at his cottage in Silver Cliff, pontooning, fishing, and woodworking, but above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his son Chad (Cheryl) Hoff, Pardeeville, WI, Grandchildren; Justin, Donald, Matthew, and Caitlin, his siblings; Elizabeth (Daniel) Bekkum, Cynthia (Joe) Hoff, Pauline (Roland) Aspenson, Thomas (Karen) Hoff, Ivan Hoff, Scott (Candace) Hoff, Ruffy (Tina) Hoff. John is further survived by Karen's family, Roger (Carolyn) Sorenson, Howard (Anne) Sorenson, sister in law Nancy Hoff, along with numerous nieces and nephews and his special aunt Elizabeth Jothen. John was preceded in death by his son Brad, his brother Ed Hoff, and his special uncle Norton Jothen. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N.
