February 11, 1951 – December 19, 2024
John F. Huth Sr., 73, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, December 19, 2024. He was born February 11, 1951, in Black River Falls, WI. to Arnold and Frances (St. John) Huth.
After High School, John joined the U.S. Navy, and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. John had many tours of duty both state side and around the world.
John was a proud member Ho-Chunk Nation.
On March 1, 1974, he married Mary Carter. An accomplished author, John was the proud author of: Utopalos
The Hidden Paradise
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but it was being around his family he loved the most.
He is survived by his wife Mary, two children: John Huth Jr., and Collette Secor. Granddaughter Kassandra Huth, his sister Sheri (Joe) Wolke, his brother Bernard (Donna) Huth, as well as nieces, nephews, and Mary's family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Samantha Secor, son-in-law Daniel Secor, and his brothers; Arnold "Bud" Huth II, and Gene Huth.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street from 3:00PM Friday, January 3, 2025, until time of service at 7:00PM with military rites to follow.
