IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John "Jack"
Van Dyke
May 6, 1952 – March 3, 2025
John "Jack" Van Dyke, 72, of De Pere, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2025. He was born on May 6,1952 to Elmer and Helen Van Dyke in Wrightstown, WI. Jack graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1970 and attended UW-River Falls. Jack was always the hardest of workers having many careers in his life after working on the family farm growing up including working at Nabisco in Wrightstown, owning and operating his own Semi-truck, owning the Long Branch in De Pere and doing all sorts of things at the Kinney Lake Campgrounds during his semi-retirement.
Jack had the opportunity to find love twice in his life. First with his high school sweetheart and mother of his children, Mary Pat (Coenen) Van Dyke with whom he was married for 35 years. And with his current wife, Linda (Luecke) Van Dyke who he was able to devote the last ten years of his life to.
Jack was a storyteller like none other and he could make friends with anyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that asked and he was so proud of his children and step-children.
Jack is being greeted in heaven by his parents, Butch and Helen Van Dyke, brother Bob Van Dyke and grandson Derek John.
He is survived by his current wife Linda and her children: Cody Bielski, Ryan Bielski (fiancé Ashley), Adam (Dani)Bielski, and Linda's children that he raised as his own Maria Bielski (fiancé Jacob) and Tyler Luecke Van Dyke; his first wife Mary Pat Van Dyke and their two children: Sonya (Tom) Campbell, Shannon (Jamie) Bazinaw. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alex Campbell, Mason Campbell (fiancé Jennifer), Adison Bazinaw, Mitchell Bazinaw, Graham Bielski, Hailey Bielski, Beau Bielski and Delilah Bielski. He is also survived by his siblings, Sue and Gerry Gerend, Joe and Carol Van Dyke, Bill and Roxie Van Dyke, Steve Van Dyke and Mikey Van Dyke along with other extended family and many friends.
Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, with visitation from 3:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday, March 7th. Visitation will be followed by a short memorial service.
