It is with heavy hearts that we let everyone know John W. McMonagle passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer and lyme disease. He was born March 13, 1964 in Green Bay, a son of Robert "Bob" and Rosemary (Scray) McMonagle.
John graduated from Abbot Pennings High School, UW Eau Claire, and received his MBA from the University of Colorado- Denver. He was employed for many years at Woodsource, Denver, Co.
John enjoyed living and raising his three children, Kalie, Jacob, and Lauren, in the Denver area. He especially loved the mountains and all of the activities that they provided. Traveling to Wisconsin was a highlight as he and his family were able to spend time with family and friends. John enjoyed skiing, biking, camping, hiking and running. Playing guitar and singing was a gift he shared with others.
John is survived by his three children: Kalie McMonagle, Jacob McMonagle, and Lauren McMonagle; his mother Rosemary McMonagle; 11 siblings and their children: sister Teresa (Fred) Schmidt Beth (Adam) Abler, Todd Schmidt, Reed Schmidt; brother Gary (Gail De Grave) McMonagle Nathan McMonagle, Matt McMonagle, Nolan (Bailey) McMonagle; sister Cathy (Tom) Glaser Bryan (Sarah) Glaser, Sarah (Brian) Day; brother Steve (Mary) McMonagle Liz McMonagle, Greg McMonagle, Jerrod McMonagle, Nick Lange; sister Louise (Leo) Van Sistine Alissa (John) Biese, Leah Van Sistine; brother Mark McMonagle, sister Mary Jo (Mike) O'Halloran Megan O'Halloran, Molly O'Halloran, Brenna O'Halloran, Sara O'Halloran; brother Mike (Kathy) McMonagle Kevin McMonagle, Adam McMonagle, Emily McMonagle; sister Julie (Brian Whipps)McMonagle Trevor La Point, Lexi La Point, Tristan Whipps, Tanner Whipps; sister Amy (Ted) Browne Taylor Browne, Dylan Browne, MacKenzie Browne; and brother David McMonagle; Kim McMonagle, mother of his children and numerous aunts, uncles, great nieces/ nephews and other family members.
John was preceded in death by his father, Robert McMonagle, his sister -in -law, Jody McMonagle and brother-in-law, Keith Le Claire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Global Rehabilitation LLC (a lyme's treatment medical practice) and Between the Bridges Healing Center, and Unity of Littleton Church of Colorado.
John's love for life and the support he received from everyone carried him through his difficult journey. He faced this journey with courage and grace. He felt your love every day and was so grateful for it. His gentle spirit and positive personal attributes touched us deeply. He will always remain in our hearts.
