Obituary

John "Jack" W. Ver Haagh, 84, Town of Ledgeview, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at a local nursing home. Jack was born April 20, 1925 in Green Bay, a son of the late George and Angeline (Guns) Ver Haagh. Jack farmed with Bob and Betty Linzmeier for 50 years. He thought of Jerry, Ron, Butch, Julie, Terri, Tom, Sue, Sandy, Paul, Carol, and Steve as his children. Jack liked hunting, fishing, welding, playing cards, woodworking, and was a very good mechanic. He also enjoyed making Old Fashions for family and friends when they stopped to visit. Jack is survived by his siblings: Delores Smits, Elizabeth Linzmeier, Helen Healy (John), Theresa Vanden Elzen, Bernice (Bill) Ver Hasselt, George (Mary) Ver Haagh Jr, Bernard (Jeanne) Ver Haagh, and Robert (Mary) Ver Haagh, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews Jack was preceded in death by his parents George and Angeline; and brothers-in-law: Elmer Smits, Robert Linzmeier, and Orville Vanden Elzen Visitation for John will be Sunday, November 22, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church- Glenmore, Corner of County Rd X and County Rd G, De Pere, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Parish prayer service will be at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue at church on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at church at 10:30 AM with Fr.
