Joseph G. Vervoren, 52, of Little Suamico, died Friday morning, February 20, 2009, at a local nursing home. The son of the late Gerald and Theresa (Wauters) Vervoren was born January 2, 1957 in Green Bay. He was a graduate of Green Bay East, Class of 1976. Joe worked at Green Bay Dressed Beef. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Little Suamico, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter Kimberly (and Dan Metoxen) Vervoren, De Pere, his siblings, Judy (John) Patton, Richard (Cindy) Vervoren, Linda (Steve) Brenner, Cathy (Dan) Delair, Pat (Randy) Johnson, Thomas (Kathy) Vervoren, Theresa and Al Shimmel, and Rosey Vervoren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesday February 24, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Solveig A.H. Zamrow, officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday morning at Allouez Cemetery.
