Joshua James Maddix, age 45, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly and far too soon on March 10, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1980, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late James Peter Maddix and Susan Theresa Maddix.
Josh graduated from West De Pere High School and earned a master’s degree in finance at Lakeland College. Throughout Josh’s life, he has spent his career working at Chase Bank where he found a passion for coaching, mentoring, and motivating others. Josh also had a great passion for travel. Over the past couple of years, Josh developed a love for going on cruises. He also enjoyed visiting his friends in places all over the country. However, above all that, nothing brought Josh more happiness in life than his family.
Josh is survived by his fur baby, Marley; sisters, Tessa Christjohn and Jessica Brunner; nieces, Morgan Maddix, Carson Maddix-Christjohn, and Maddy Brunner; nephews, Jaydin Maddix-Christjohn and Aiden Brunner; great-niece, Lilah Martens; aunts, Shirley (Don) Schuessler, Kathy (Don) Pouwels, Lisa (Ken) Gutowski, and Shelly McCourt; uncles, Gary (Carol) Maddix, Mooch (Anne) Maddix, Ray Maddix and Gary (Linda) Kaminecki; many cousins, and friends he considered family.
Josh is preceded in death by fur baby, Captain; parents, James Maddix and Susan Maddix; grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Kaminecki, Jim Maddix, and Dolores (Mike) McCourt; aunt, Lori VandeVen; and uncle, David Maddix.
Friends and family may gather at Ryan’s Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St. De Pere, WI 54115, on Saturday March 21, 2026, from 2:00pm until the time of service at 4:00pm. After the service family and friends are welcome to share thoughts and memories to honor and celebrate this special soul who has gone too soon. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Joshua Maddix Memorial Fund.
