Joshua Lambert Christjohn, Turtle Clan, 23, of Oneida, passed on unexpectedly Sunday October 10, 2010 as a result of a car accident. The son of Joey Christjohn and Cathy L. Metoxen was born May 8, 1987 in Green Bay. He received his HSED degree from NWTC. Josh was an active member of the community and enjoyed sports, especially lacrosse, football and basketball. His family includes his parents, his children, Lyla (17 months) and Levi (5 months), one brother, Dan (Kristin) Metoxen, grandmother, Lois Metoxen, nephews, Jacob and Andrew, nieces, Carissa, Mary, Makenzie and Jolina, fiance, Shandee Marksman; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, many special friends, and "Gramma" Mae. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Joseph Metoxen, paternal grandparents Amos and Daisy Christjohn, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends may call at the Oneida Longhouse, W370 Reformatory Road, Oneida after 5:30 pm Thursday October 14, 2010. Visitation hours will continue all night. Jennifer Stevens will sing at 6:30 pm followed by the Cornelius Family Singers at 7:30 pm. Traditional Longhouse Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday at the Longhouse with Bob Brown, officiating. Burial will follow at Oneida Nation Cemetery.
