Juanita M. Cornelius, 90, Oneida, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born May 13, 1926 to the late Hyson and Adelia (Hill) Powless. Juanita was a family woman who truly treasured every moment she had with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She was also a great cook and baker. Juanita is survived by her 11 children: Ronald (Janice) Cornelius, Cheryl (Richard) Christensen, Judith (Damian) Colón, Fredrick (Theresa) Cornelius, Barbara McIntyre, Leland Cornelius, Jr, Charlene (Tom Sweet) Cornelius, Denise (John) Moore, Dennis Cornelius, Sharon (John Collins) Cornelius, and Carol (Angel) Colón; her 105 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her brother Floyd Powless; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland Cornelius; son Keith Cornelius; grandson Erik Cornelius-Wingle; father and mother Hyson and Adelia; best friend Clifford Cornelius; son-in-law Scott McIntyre; and her sisters and brothers. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:00 PM and Prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Oneida United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ann Bullis officiating. Juanita will be laid to rest in Oneida Methodist Cemetery.
