IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Kay
Nolan
May 13, 1959 – December 28, 2024
Karen Kay Nolan, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home in Oneida Wisconsin on December 28, 2024. She was born in Chicago Illinois on May 13, 1959, to William P. Nolan and Josephine Metoxen.
Karen graduated from Notre Dame in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Karen found a passion for learning from friends and family how to do beadwork as a hobby. She was confident that one day she would learn it all and by asking people "Now show me how to do that! Oh!" And laughing. Karen loved to laugh.
Karen would also tell and show anyone she could, how proud she was of the beautiful star quilt she made.
She had a lot of fun learning how to create beautiful crafts to match her bright, beautiful and caring soul.
Karen had a passion for helping people, which was evident by her job as a Community Health Representative at the Oneida Nation Health Center. She loved visiting her clients and gabbing for hours to get to know them. Many of whom were lifelong friends and family.
Family was important to Karen, and she never let them forget it with the sassy stares and lots of laughter. She loved visiting with people, but she also loved her true crime, horror movies and mystery TV shows.
Karen is survived by two of her children Louis and Maria Guerra, her grandchildren Kiley and Connor Nolan, her brother William Gollnick, nieces and nephews: Cassandra Trepainer (Cory), Kowa Gollnick, James Gollnick (Maria), Nix Doxtator (Matt), and Parker Trepainer.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son Michael Shane Nolan, father William P Nolan, her mother Josephine Metoxen, and all her aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St. De Pere, WI 54115, on Thursday January 02, 2025, for visitation from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Burial will be held on Monday January 06, 2025, at the Sacred Burial Grounds at 10:00am.
