Karen Elsie Skenandore of Oneida, 70, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family and friends November 16, 2010 at Anna John Nursing Home. She was born February 03, 1940 to the late George and Hilda (Doxtator) Skenandore in Tomah, WI. Karen worked for United Amerindian Center for twenty years. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, going to concerts, reading, visiting with family and friends. She was also an active member at the Oneida Methodist Church.
Karen is survived by one granddaughter Wynoka Skenandore, Five great grandchildren, Tico Howard Jr., MyLinda Rodrigues, Robert Skenandore, Sophia Skenandore, Airen Skenandore, sister-in-laws, Dorothy and Betty Skenandore, numerous nieces, nephews, god children and her special friends Milton and Nadine Dallas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Rayne "Suzi" Stevens, her brothers, Anthony and Phillip Skenandore, sisters, Irene Cornelius and Harriet Alicea.
Friends and family may call on Oneida United Methodist Church, Freedom Road, Oneida, Thursday November 18, 2010 at 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Oneida Singers starting at 6:30PM with a service to follow at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue Friday November 19, 2010 at 10:00AM at church till time of service at 11:00AM with Rev. Earl L.
