Karey Jo Skenandore, 46, of Oneida, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born on May 26, 1966 in Green Bay to Loretta J. (Summers) Skenandore and the late Kenneth L. Skenandore Sr.
Karey is survived by her son, Little Bear (Jeanette); daughter Minoka; grandson, Corey Little Bear; her mother (Del); four brothers, Kenneth Jr. (Lorna), Keith (Jackie), Kim, and Kyle (Mona); three sisters, Pam (Jerry), Kelly (Wayne), Keyna; and significant other, Ricky Bell. She is further survived by two uncles, Jim and Austin Summers; two aunts, Carol Elm and Gloria Lusis, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Austin and Margaret Summers, Loretta F. Webster and Willard R. Skenandore; uncles, Ed, Gilbert, and Donald Summers; as well as nephew Baby Kenny.
Friends and family are asked to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, from 4pm until 8pm with the Oneida Big Drum to play at 6pm, Oneida Singers at 6:30pm, and a prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 10am until 11am when a Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held with Fr. Robert Clarke officiating. Oneida Singers will perform at 10:30am and Oneida Big Drum will follow after service. Lunch will be held at Parish Hall in Oneida.
