Kate Stevens, 64, of Green Bay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the early morning hours of Monday December 16, 2013 at her home. She was born April 6, 1949 in Green Bay. Kate was one of those people that had a smile on their face all the time. Kate's smile was contagious! She loved and lived her life to the fullest. She liked to play Bingo, Darts, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Kate was a proud member of the Oneida VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she had served various offices.
Kate is survived by her brothers; Glen and Mike, and her sister Liz. Sisters in law; Dorothy and Virginia, her special Boys; Anthony, Daniel, Junior, Bobby, and Patrick, and daughter Paula. Special nieces; CeCe (Michelle), Debbie (Bob), Peggy (Scott), Jennifer, and many nieces and nephews. Kate's special friends Kathy and Dar also survive.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong companion Patsy, her parents, David and Josephine as well as her biological mother Phoebe. Kate's brothers also preceded her, Rethmon Jr., Bernard, Artley, Arnold, David "Jerry", and her sisters, Sarah, Cheryl, Mary, and Barb.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere after 4pm on Wednesday December 18, 2013. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm. Followed by a VFW Auxiliary Service at 7:00pm, followed by a Parish Prayer Service to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9:00am Thursday at the funeral home until the cortege leaves for church at 10:00am. The Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10:30am, at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
