Katherine "Kate" Roffers, 81, De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. She was born November 25, 1926 to the late John and Susan (Morris) Moran. On February 25, 1946 she married Marvin Roffers. Marvin preceded her in death in 1998. Kate enjoyed baking, cooking, and sharing recipes. She has inspired this same passion in many family members. She always had time for coffee and dessert. She also enjoyed flower gardening, feeding "her" birds, watching for wild turkeys in her yard, family pets, and of course the Green Bay Packers. Until her retirement Kate was a cook at the former "Kitchenette" and former "Corner Caf" in De Pere. She also worked at the Brown County Arena and PMI as a food prep staff. She is survived by her children; Susan (Paul) Van Den Wymelenberg, Mary (Harold) Jorgenson, Ruth (Dave) Jansen, Donnie Roffers, Helen Jorgenson, Jim (Donna) Roffers, and Lori (Mike) Van Schyndel. Kate is further survived by her 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, her sister Marcella Barth, and brothers and sisters in law; Jim (Pat) Moran, Bob (Jan) Moran, and CeCe Moran. Kate was preceded in death by Adrian and Margaret Kerkhoff, Clarence and Clara Moran, Jack Moran, Esther Moran, and Eddie Barth. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N.
