Obituary

Katherine Skenandore 97 began her journey to be reunited with her Lord and family during her pursuit of her love of the outdoors. Katherine was born in Hobart on December 31, 1912 to the late Alexander and Cornelia (Cornelius) House. On November 9, 1957 she married Arthur T. Skenandore. They were happily inseparable for 33 years. Katherine was a devout Christian who loved and served her Lord Jesus Christ, and was a life long member of the Holy Apostles Church in Oneida. Her kindness, compassion and generosity will be remembered not only by family but many others. Katherine loved caring for her beloved nieces and nephews and granddaughter who was the light of her life. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, sewing, cooking and listening to music. She loved conversing with her family members. Katherine and Arthur loved going for car rides, and were Packer fans and enjoyed many games at Lambeau Field. Survivors include her daughter LuAnn (Robert) Balza, her granddaughter Tiffany (Vaughn) Bowles, and her great granddaughter Arianna. Also a very special niece Birdie (Donald) Boersma and their sons Jameson and Cameron as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and their families survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters; Margaret Hamilton, Vera Perkins, Pansy (Eugene) Boswell, and three brothers; George (Ethel) House, Warren House, and James (Warrean) House. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere from 6 8pm Sunday, June 6, 2010. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a parish prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue after 9:30am Monday at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Oneida with the Oneida Hymn Singer at 10am and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Rev.
