Obituary

Kathy Belschner passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022 following a brief illness. Kathy was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on July 23, 1946 to Vernon and Dorothy Leemon. Kathy married Glenn Belschner on January 11, 1969 and the two resided in West De Pere until they retired and moved to Mountain, Wisconsin in 2003. They enjoyed their retirement spending winters in Orange Beach, Alabama and summers in Mountain, Wisconsin until Glenn's death in 2014. Kathy is survived by her daughter Vicki and son-in-law Jim Cornell. Their grandsons, Parker, Hayden and Emmett. One brother, Ken Leemon and his wife, Jody. One brother-in-law Larry (Jane) Belschner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn and her parents Vernon and Dorothy Leemon. After high school, Kathy attended UW Madison where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Kathy's career spanned decades with the H.C. Prange Company. Kathy loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many cities, both for business and on vacation. Kathy was a talented seamstress. She loved to sew clothing, wall hangings and made many halloween costumes for her grandsons over the years. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, working on puzzles, reading, planting flowers and knitting. Kathy volunteered her time at the DePere Christian Outreach and with the Brown County Community Women's Club (BCCWC) and spent many years singing in the Bethany Methodist Church choir. Kathy had a strength and determination that was an inspiration to many. She lived her life the way she wanted to. Her spunk, outgoing personality and sense of humor made her someone people loved to spend time with. She found joy in everyday pleasures. She loved a good conversation with a friend, a Pepsi and a piece of chocolate, watching a football game or a Nascar race and she never passed up an opportunity to go out for a burger and a Miller Lite. She loved to spend time with her grandsons and was so proud of them. Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
