Kathryn Ann "Kay" Duggan
Kathryn Ann "Kay" Duggan, 83, De Pere, was called to her home in heaven unexpectedly on Nov. 14, 2009. She was born in Green Bay on June 17, 1926, to Leo and Rose Kosnar. She graduated from Cathedral Grade School and East High School. On September 1, 1947, she married her best friend, Melvin Duggan. They shared 62 loving years together. Kay and Mel enjoyed everywhere life took them as they lived in several cities including Green Bay, De Pere, Sturgeon Bay, Hudson, and Waukesha. Family, friends, and the simple pleasure of visiting with them all were constant joys in Kay's life.
Kay is survived by her husband, Melvin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine (Bernard) Lienau, Sturgeon Bay, and Patricia (Paul) Hunsader, Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Peot, Patricia (Peter) Gomber, Nancy (James) Bergman; one sister-in-law, Sister Loretta Duggan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Rose (Reynolds) Kosnar; father and mother-in-law Jermiah and Regina (Wellens) Duggan; brothers-in-law Maurice Peot, Clarence Duggan, Ralph Duggan, Norbert (June) Duggan, and Patrick (Myrtle) Duggan.
Family and friends may call at St. Mary Parish Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off of Sportsman Dr., Town of Ledgeview on Thursday, November 19. Visitation will be at the church at 9:00am followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Father John H. Harper will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
