Obituary

Kelly R. Braaten, 55, Oneida, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on Saturday afternoon March 17, 2018. She was born January 14, 1963 to Alfrieda Grignon and the late Lester Braaten. Kelly was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and great aunt. She loved the outdoors, especially camping, swimming and spending time with her family. Kelly is survived by her mom Alfrieda Grignon, her siblings; Blair (Michelle) Braaten, Susan Braaten, Lisa (Terry) Metoxen, all of Oneida, She is further survived by her goddaughter Cassandra Metoxen, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and her cherished pets; D.O.G., and Askum. She was preceded in death by her dad Lester Braaten, her sister Pam Braaten, and her brothers; Jerel Grignon, Worden Krueger Jr, and James Braaten, and Steve Braaten. Her grandparents; Michael (Inez) Grignon, and Elling (Olava) Braaten also preceded her in death. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Wednesday March 21, 2018, with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue after 9:00AM Thursday at the funeral home, until time of service at 11:00AM. Food donations would be appreciated at the Parish Hall on Thursday morning. Fire Keepers are requested at the home until Thursday.
