IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Julian
Deprez
May 1, 1939 – January 23, 2026
On Friday, January 23, 2026, Kenneth Julian Deprez (86) Ashwaubenon, left his earthly home to spend eternity with his Lord Jesus Christ. Ken was born on May 1, 1939 on the family farm in Ahnapee, Wisconsin to the late Walter J. Deprez and Josephine A. (Chaudoir) Deprez.
Two decisions Ken made had an impact on him through his entire life. First, he made a commitment to follow the teachings of the Bible and to be committed to God throughout his life. His second decision was to marry Sally Malcore on July 5, 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ken would credit those two decisions for a lot of love, purpose and joy through his life. Ken had his share of challenges, but had a great life that resulted in his great sense of fulfillment.
While growing up Ken spent time helping with farm chores, including milking cows every morning and evening, which resulted in his strong work ethic. Ken graduated from Algoma High School with the class of 1958. After several years of working in the Algoma area, Ken moved to Green Bay, and worked for National Can and U.S. Can until his retirement.
Ken attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and focused on auto mechanics. He enjoyed working on his cars, especially his 1973 Corvette. Ken joined the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and traveled the United States for ballroom dancing competitions and earned a bronze award.
Ken and Sally were blessed with two children, MaryJo and Elliot. Ken was a devoted and loving father. His love for MaryJo and Elliot was evident in all he did.
In his free time Ken enjoyed traveling with family (especially to Florida, Alaska, Mexico and Europe), spending time with his grandchildren, watching Fox News and riding his bike.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sally; two children, MaryJo Schmit (Jeremy) and Elliot Deprez (Angie); six grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Ethan, Gavin, Roger and Henry; siblings, Mark Deprez (Carol), Carol Iwen, and Allen Deprez (Sue).
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Josephine; in-laws, Evelyn and Wallace Malcore; siblings, James Deprez, Walter Deprez Jr. and Dianne Brans; brothers-in-law, Irv Arendt, Bill Brans and Ronald Iwen.
Visitation will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will be at The Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
We truly appreciate the care and guidance provided by Unity Hospice.
