Buck Derouin, 69, De Pere, died on Friday December 4, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was born November 24, 1946 in Green Bay to the late Kenneth and Fern (Dennisen) Derouin. He was a 1964 graduate of West De Pere High School. On December 28, 1965 he married Janis Hagemeyer at St. Boniface Church in De Pere. Together Buck and Janis raised their three daughters until her death in 1997 from cancer. Buck was employed for over 33 years at American Food Group as Plant Maintenance Engineer, a job he greatly loved. On September 4, 2004 he married Beckie Van Rite-Thomson. Buck took great pride in his yard, and loved to socialize with his friends. It was the time spent with family though that brought him his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife Beckie, children: Amy (Adam) Gildernick, Cindy (Brian) Liebers, Becky (Casey) Sinclair, Tori (Michael) Szkodzinski, and Joseph (Autum) Thomson. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Abby, Jake, Maddie, Josh, Kaylee, Grace, Megan, Trevor, Travis, Josie, and Ryan. Buck's siblings also survive: Ann Derouin, William (Pat) Derouin, Nancy (Jim) Thomas, Ed (Judy) Derouin, Jim (Karen) Derouin, and Sandy (Michael) Del Giacco. In-laws: Debbi (Mike) Koenig, Daniel (Jeanne) Van Rite, Julie (Glen) Smits, Russ (Angie) Van Rite, Paul (Laura) Van Rite, Jackie (Glenn) Metzler, Rocky (Marty) Hockers, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Buck was preceded in death by his wife Janis, and his parents.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4 8PM on Tuesday December 8, 2015. Visitation will continue after 9:00AM on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr. in Ledgeview until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00Am with Fr. Richard Getchel officiating.
