Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" L. Skenandore Jr., 67, Oneida, completed his purpose on this Earth and left this world having given all he came to give. On February 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer and other health challenges, he chose to begin his journey to the spirit world. Surrounded by his family, he was held in deep love and gratitude as he made his peaceful transition. His family carries forward the memory of his love, kindness, compassion, laughter, and unmistakable sense of humor-gifts he shared freely with everyone around him.

Kenny was born on December 30, 1958, to Kenneth Skenandore Sr. and Loretta (Summers) Skenandore. On June 27, 1997, he married the love of his life and soulmate, Lorna Hennigar, with whom he shared a bond rooted in devotion, partnership, and joy.

Kenny is survived by his devoted wife, Lorna; his children Jennifer (Pah-Nesie), Jessica, and Nevada; and stepson David (Kim). He was a proud grandfather to Jose, Alex, Malia, Pah-Nesie, Bella, Malaki, Noah, and Packer.

He is also survived by his siblings, Pam (Jerry), Kim, Kelly, Keyna, and Kyle (Mona); his brother-in-law Daryl (Amy) Hennigar; and many nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members and special friends Lynn and Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Loretta (Summers) Skenandore Sr., in-laws Loren and Winona (Skenandore) Hennigar, son Kenneth Skenandore III, siblings Keith and Karey, Grandparents Austin (Margaret) Summers, Loretta F. Webster, and Roland W. Skenandore, and his beloved companion dogs Hunter and Teken.

Kenny was a Master Electrician, licensed in 1991, an accomplishment he was deeply proud of. He brought dedication and craftsmanship to every job he touched, including his 20 years with Oneida Casino, as well as his work with Hidden Valley Electric and Vos Electric where he put care into every job, every wire, every detail. He showed his heart through craftmanship.

Kenny lived a life full of passions. He loved to hunt-especially bow hunting-fish-golf-bowl, play horseshoes, shoot pool, throw darts, and travel. Through these adventures, he and Lorna met countless wonderful friends over the years, most recently during the WAPL Radio Station International Incidents. Kenny also had a lifelong love of motorcycle riding and was a proud member of the Rising Nation Motorcycle Club, where he served as Sergeant of Arms for several years.

He enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers football, and he had a special love for music-especially outdoor concerts, above all Kenny was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He adored his children and grandchildren and took immense pride in every one of their accomplishments, whether big or small.

Kenny was kindhearted, genuine, honest, and down-to-earth. His sense of humor was one of a kind, and he carried that joy for life with him until his final days. He loved relaxing with a cold beverage at his favorite watering holes-Rendezous in Green Bay or Fleet's Gas Light Inn in Oneida. If you knew Kenny, you knew he had a presence that reached straight into your soul. He will be fondly remembered by many, as he truly did not have a mean bone in his body.

Kenny's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Anna John Resident Centered Care Community for the love and compassion they showed him over the last several years. From the kitchen staff to custodial activities, housekeeping, nurses, and CNAs, each person cared for Kenny with sincerity and respect. They became a second family to Kenny and Lorna, each loving him in their own special way. You all know who you are, and he loved you too-even if he gave you a hard time now and then.
