Obituary

Kenneth Stanley Vincent, 84, Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. Ken was born July 5, 1939 to the late Stanley and Lucille (Collen) Vincent.

Ken graduated from St. Francis grade school and St. Norbert High School class of 1958.

He met Mary Claire Kane, the love of his life, at a high school dance and they were married on April 22, 1961. They went on to share 63 years of marriage – each year a testament to their four children as to what true love, marriage, perseverance, and support looks like. The children will forever hold these ideals dear.

Ken's first job was sweeping floors at the DePere Theater, a family-owned business and the venue by which his mother demonstrated how in business, and everywhere else, a kind, compassionate soul coupled with a strong work ethic can propel you forward. Ken grasped this and emulated it throughout his life. His career included stops at Alwin Manufacturing, Diana Manufacturing, Tuttle Press, and Tape Incorporated where he retired as Plant Superintendent. He then joined his son Steve in support of him in his printing business, Bayside Printing.

There is no job Ken held more important or performed better than that of being a husband, dad, and papa. Family camping excursions, fishing, boating, playing cards, and having family dinners (at any possible occasion) provide the memories, laughter, and love to carry his family through the pain of losing him. Nothing was more important to Ken than family. The unconditional love and support he showed every day of his life was abundantly clear to all who met him, as was his sense of humor and sarcasm. Life lessons he impressed upon all included: resort to reading directions only after a number of unsuccessful attempts to put something together are made; when you go to Fleet Farm, don't forget the red licorice; a car can never be too clean; popcorn goes with anything; there's no such thing as too many pickles in a bloody mary, and always love one another and be there for each other.

Ken is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary, and their four children; Mike (Betsy) Vincent of Oconto, Steve (Bonnie) Vincent of Bonduel, Jeff (Debra) Vincent of Arizona, and Jennifer (Leslie Chase) of De Pere, as well as his precious granddaughter Meghan of Arizona. Ken is further survived by his sisters Kay (Pat) Van Dreel and Jean (Paul) Minten; his in-laws Jack and Inger Kane, Donna Kane, Joe and Sandy Kane, and Patsy and Pat Collins; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his grandson; Hunter Michael-Jerome Vincent, his parents Lucille Vincent-Feher and Stanley Vincent, brother John Vincent, infant sister Margaret Vincent, niece Vicki Lynn Van Dreel, step-father Michael Feher, mother and father in-law Jerome and Marion (Bertrand) Kane, step mother-in-law Lillian (Bauer) Kane, and brother in-law Jim Kane.
