Kermit F. Jordan, 76, Oneida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 10, 2015. He was born February 25, 1939 to the late Vernon and Katherine (Metoxen) Jourdan. Kermit served his country in the USAF. On December 4, 1965 he married Vickie Thomas. Kermit retired from the Oneida Tribe.
He is survived by his wife Vickie, his children: Kevin Jordan, Kurt (Melissa) Jordan, Emilie Jordan, four grandchildren, Gabrielle (Bruce), As'ya, Brady, Morgan, and his great grandson Kingston.
Kermit is further survived by his siblings: Kathleen Elm, Valerie (Marshall) Groleau, Caroleen Jourdan, June Wommack, Aloyious Jourdan Sr., Marvin (Janice) Jourdan, and Clint Jourdan. He is further survived by his sister and brother in laws: Jackie Thomas, Carla (Curt) Danforth, Inez (Ed Black Thunder) Thomas, Mike Thomas, Char Thomas, Elaine Jourdan, Bob Steffes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Elaine, Hubert, Randy, Florence, Florene, and Mary Agnes. He was also preceded by his In Laws, VanRoy (Rosetta) Thomas, Lillie Steffes, Robert Thomas, Sherman Thomas, and Gary Thomas.
Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church 453 Rosehill Dr. in Oneida from 4:00 7:00pm Thursday November 12, 2015 (TODAY). The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 6:30pm followed by a prayer service at 7:00pm to end the evening. Visitation will continue after 10:00am Friday at the church until time of service at 11:00am with Pastor Mark Schumm officiating.
