Obituary

Kermit "Mac" McDonald, 82, died early Sunday morning May 30, 2010. Kermit was born on September 5, 1927 to the late William and Alma (Nedland) McDonald in Chetek, WI. He married the love of his life Joyce (Helberg) on Febuary 13, 1954, she preceded him in death. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944. After the service he served the Racine community working on the Racine Police Department for thirty-eight years from 1950 to 1988. Kermit will be remembered for his love and devotion to The Lord Jesus Christ, his family, his love of deer hunting, fishing and cribbage. Kermit is survived by his children, Debbie (Bill) Ferko, Kevin (Linda) McDonald, Brent (Sharyl) McDonald, grandchildren, Christine, Jared, Michael Ferko, Katie, Jacob McDonald, Nicholas, Haley, Ethan McDonald, and his brothers Roy and Calvin and his many special nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce, brothers Burley and Romie, and his sisters, Blanch and Bernice. Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere, WI from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday June 1, 2010, with a service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Paul Garrison officiating. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine WI at 1:00 pm on Wednesday June 2, 2010 with full military honors.
