Kermit J. Valentino, 64, resident of Oneida WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. He was born on May 5, 1956 to Joseph C. and Loretta M. (Skenandore) Valentino. Kermit attended Flandreau Indian School and NAES College. He married Debra Gauthier on May 9, 1992 in Chicago IL.
Kermit retired as a foreman for People's Energy in Chicago IL after 25 years of service.
He was a member of the American Indian Center Community of Chicago, Co-founder of the Native American Urban Indian Retreat, as well as the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and President of Yukwatsistay.
Kermit enjoyed fishing, creating jewelry, loved a good meal, sitting by the fire, and taking care of his family. He was also a "Top to Bottom" handy man and had a passion to advocate for sobriety. He was an active community member in every community he was apart of. In his spare time, he loved his Packers, and loved his Casino-time.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Karen (Kevin), Francine (Joshua), Cassandra (James), Felicia, and Michael; children of his heart, Amar (Zahras), Robert, Paul, Laura, and Samantha; grandchildren, Nicholas, Abby, Gabryella, Neshoba, Jayleena, and Wyntr; his siblings, Kenny Jeffery, Joseph, Johnny, Valerie, Julie, and Vicky.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, JoAnn Valentino and Marlene Valentino.
