Kevin R. Keyser, 49, of De Pere, passed away Monday May 9, 2011. The son of Norbert and Gloria (Beerntsen) Keyser was born April 9, 1962 in Green Bay. Kevin was a 1980 graduate of De Pere High School. On May 9, 1987, he married the former Sheila Holmgren at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay.
Kevin was a loving Husband and Dad. Since 1993, he and his brother Dave owned and operated Keyser Plumbing, the family business founded by his father. Kevin was known around town as the "friendly plumber". Kevin was a long-time member of St. Francis Catholic Church, De Pere and belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Council 3955. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He had an enthusiastic smile and always waved at others while driving. Kevin will be remembered for his loving kindness, generosity and the ability to make people laugh. Kevin always tried to put others first. He will be sadly missed by many lives he touched.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila, two sons, Jesse and Zachary, his parents, Norbert and Gloria, brothers and sisters, David and Laura Keyser, Marsha and Steve Gierczak, Patti Van Den Heuvel, and Ann Keyser, as well as nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rosemary Keyser in 1989.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011 (TODAY). Parish prayer service led by Deacon DeCleene will be held at 4:15 pm. Visitation will continue after 10:00 am Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church, 220 South Michigan Street, De Pere until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday at the church with Fr. V. Anthony Dolski, Fr. John H. Harper, Fr. Patrick Beno and Deacon Kevin DeCleene, officiating. Burial in Mt.
