Larry "Big Lar" Ingebretsen, 75, De Pere, passed away peacefully early Friday morning November 20, 2015. He was born March 21, 1940 to the late Lloyd and Esther (Hock) Ingebretsen. On February 11, 1961 he married Patricia Forsythe. Larry worked concrete construction his entire career, having owned and operated his own business. An avid cribbage player and a fondness for shaking dice, Larry loved being around people and even held an annual picnic complete with fireworks. Spending time with his children and grandchildren is really what he enjoyed most. Larry is survived by his children: Larry (Sue) Ingebretsen, Jane Vera, Eric (Girlfriend Debbie Gibbons), Brett Ingebretsen, as well as his grandchildren, Alex, Vincent, and Rosa. He is further survived by his sister: Germaine Collier, brother in law, Fran (Joan) Froelich, and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia, as well as his sister Phyllis (Bill) Eiting, and brother in law Jerry Collier. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere after 4:00PM on Tuesday November 24, 2015. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:00PM to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 10:00AM Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating.
