Laverne Margaret Trongard, 88, of DePere, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Albert and Eleanor (Mimi) Buss was born May 13, 1931 in Milwaukee. She married Thomas Trongard November 18, 1982 in Waukegan, IL. A Milwaukee resident most of her life, LaVerne and Tom moved to the Green Bay area in 1993. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and focused her time on family and making their home comfortable and inviting. She was a decorator and loved to keep memories of those she loved close to her, especially that of her daughter, Cindy who passed many years earlier. Survivors include her husband, Tom, three children, Randy (Chris) Kulas, Amy (Martin) Weber, and Ceri (Ken) Trongard, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her two brothers, Roger (Betty) Buss and Terry (Jane) Buss, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Breitweiser and one brother, Ronald. Family and friends may call at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 3801 So. 6th Street, Milwaukee, from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2020. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at the Chapel with inurnment to follow in the cemetery.
